The Sociedad Armadora Aristotelis Panama S.A. was formed in 1946. This is the third important type-A grandmother company, that owned mainly Onassis’s other, non-shipping companies. Specifically, it was the main A company for the Olympic Airways companies and other banking investments, shipyards and refineries. The grandmother company Aristotelis owned all the companies associated with his homes. The companies A.S. Onassis Panama SA and Sociedad Armadora Aristidis Panama SA were the primary mother companies belonging to the company Aristotelis. These mother companies in turn owned the daughter company Ashland Shipping Panama SA, which was founded in 1956 and owned Onassis’s apartment on Avenue Foch in Paris. The daughter companies Anonimos Ktimatiki kai Emboriki Etaireia Agamemnon and Anonimos Ktimatiki and Emboriki Etaireia Mykinai owned the island complex of Skorpios and his homes in Glyfada. The daughter company Rawson Panama SA owned Onassis’s villa in Lagonissi, while the daughter company Jancourt Marine Panama SA owned his yacht the Christina, etc. Among these companies one can even find personal purchases of clothes by Onassis’s wives and his daughter Christina from the top European fashion houses, such as Valentino and Dior. After 1975 the company passed to the Christina Onassis Group of companies owned by ATOL and managed by OMSA.

This is one of the three type-A grandmother companies, through which Onassis owned his assets and conducted all his business activities. All the accounting entries and control of Onassis’s businesses was done through the three grandmother companies, Miraflores, Ariona and Aristotelis.
