History
This is the first Panamanian company formed on 14 April 1939 at the Consulate General of the Republic of Panama in London. This first initiative was supported by the shipowners of the Greek office in London, who had introduced him to Greek shipping in the 1930s: Costas Gratsos and Pericles Drakoulis, scions of families with a long maritime tradition from the island of Ithaca. Constantinos Georgiou Gratsos, Dimitris Georgiou Gratsos, Panos Georgiou Gratsos, Constantinos Pericles Drakoulis and Aristotle Onassis himself appear as members and shareholders of Onassis’s first Panamanian company. He transferred to this company his first two cargo steamships "Onassi Pinelopi" and "Onassi Socratis", under the Panamanian flag.
